Yes we have had cards and letters soaked come to the mailroom, they have done a great job in catching them. Has anyone run across coded letters from stg members? Some codes appear as words in part capital letters and lower case mixed, Some appear in jibberish and make little or no sence. There is more to codes and I don’t have that information but it seems this is something that needs brought up in our In-Service trng. Speaking of Stg’s, has anyone noticed more activity or violence in their facility, or is it isolated? |

I’ve heard of this before as well-never seen it. |

We had something similar. Children’s drawings sent through the mail, soaked in meth. |

Just something to watch out for. We recently came across a new way to smuggle heroin in the prison. They soaked the back paper inlay covers of CD cases in liquid heroin. What gave it away was the smell. We were a little confused at first as to how they would extract it. But we figured out that if you heat the underside of the paper the heroin would form a black tar on the upper side which could be scraped off. |
