grumpy… your a bonehead! Bet you are one to talk tuff & run! I have been in corrections for 18 years, and yes have had to put inmates on the wall, break up fights, and go nose to nose with pissed off pieces of crap! At no time have I EVER run from a confrontation! Had male officers run though… so listen here bubba…. once I get things handled in the pod… and I find you, wherever you hid… I am gonna wait for you in the parking lock for a little “discussion” of our own!

At my prison it is common practice to call a family member of an inmate anytime they are admitted for anything. I feel this opens up a whole new can of worms because now you have family members showing up wanting to visit. Many times it has been ok’d by our major for an inmate to receive visits even though the inmate is not critical. What is to stop a friend, family member, or gang rival from bringing a gun there? Even a double lifer will have his family notified because he was admitted for something as simple as cellulitis. The danger that the officers and the public can face are not being taken seriously in my view.

noneya sounds like a average 4th grade level stupid ex-inmate. Not only was this person talking out of their ass, their grammer and spelling shows the level of education they have. I guess if I had or was someone who robbed, raped babies, stole….. I wouldn’t want to follow institutional rules cause “I bez do’in my thang, & no M**F is gon’na F* with me I do bez telling my peoplez man!” Keep going noneya….. your still on the right path! lol

Hell no! They committed the crime knowing full well that much of their “rights” were going to be removed! OOPS…. silly me…. liberal view…. give them another chance and all rights back… even the little girl/boy down the street….. MAYBE he will be good this time… (or cover it up better) my view… HELL NO!!!

Death row as it stand now takes 20 years to fulfull a sentence. Give them 1 appeal with a 30 day decision limit and then proceed with the sentence. These sick SOB’s need to feel the same terror and pain that they gave their victim! I am tired of my tax money being spent on them! 30 days and out!

Mick, I would love to see pictures of your prison, I am going to go to the web site you gave twelveozcurl and see what all I can find. American prisons cater to inmates to the point that it is not a big deal to keep coming back. I have seen guys with 12-14 different inmate numbers, not counting the times they came back on a parole violation on a same number. Administration here takes an inmates word over a staff members word every time with the staff member being “investigated” (a real joke) and punished. That punishment being in the form of a written, verbal or working fine (you work for free cause they take so many of your day pay away as punishment) Bleeding hearts are killing the system here!

lllPhillyPhan, so your inmates are catered to also?? Around here if an inmate makes a complaint, staff usually gets a discipline. We even have one “special” inmate who uses the C/O’s phone to call his mommy, and uses staff micro-wave so his food is hot. Try and stop it and all hell breaks loose!
