PITTSBURGH, PA (JUNE 27, 2006) Wexford Health Sources, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has signed a 3-year contract with the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) to provide comprehensive onsite health care services to more than 14,000 MDOC inmates in 34 correctional facilities across the state of Mississippi. The contract, worth approximately $95 million over the three-year period, starts July 1, 2006.
Wexford has more than fourteen years of experience providing inmate health services at jails and prisons across the United States. Company president and chief executive officer Mark Hale says, “We are excited at the prospect of partnering with the MDOC to provide high quality health services at the best possible value.
