The phrase “job creators” does get flung around, doesn’t it? Usually, silver-spoon executives with fake tans claim to be them, but anything could be one – like a taco. Not kidding on that one, as Taco Bell had to hire 15,000 extra people because of the Doritos Locos line of tacos. I agree with the “Dude” and “Bob” work the crap out of them and make it so that they don’t want to come back. Just like Arpaio does. But unfortunately there to many bleeding heart liberals and nutless, gutless, and witless individuals that are at the top of the political food chain to do this. You do have a good point CZBURGR. Have it done inside the walls makes sense. Unfortunately I work in a County Jail, and I call it the County Bed and Breakfast. Sorry guys, just had to vent a little. |

It will never happen in a conservative state. Prison labor effects private industry. I was a work projects supervisor in a work camp for seven years. They are great programs. They develop skills for the offenders, put a little cash in their pockets and their victims got a chunk of the money as well. Everyone wins. I agree work projects in prisons should be expanded. I think prisons should be able to be self-sufficient. They should be able to farm the majority of their food and make their own clothing. There are so many things that could be done. |

I like the way you think Galaxy. What ever happened to “hard time”. Inmates these days get sentenced to prisneyland. Sorry, you screwed up, now you have to pay for your crimes by doing something useful for a change. Why are we still letting them lounge around and watch cable when there’s crap that needs to be done? |

The stimulus we need is more prison labor, more prison industries, and “factories behind fences.” What else are the prisoners doing? John Dewar Gleissner |
